About Me

Hi, I'm Julie

I’m a dreamer. I love to wonder about things and ask what’s possible.

I’m also a writer, mentor, and certified youth life coach who specializes in working with dancers—and those who support them. Learn more here about my coaching practice.

I grew up dancing, became a dance teacher, and owned a dance studio for sixteen years. I will forever be a dancer at heart.

I love coaching dancers because I understand their unique challenges and opportunities. I love coaching teens because sometimes I still feel like one, too.

I love writing on my blog, Moral of the Story, about my life experiences in dance, entrepreneurship, coaching, and lots of stuff in between.

I love books and podcasts, and I’m an especially big admirer of women who make me think harder, laugh bigger, and love deeper, like Susan Cain, Anne Lamott, Judy Blume, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Brené Brown, and Jen Hatmaker.

I grew up in Florida and Texas and I love traveling to cooler climates. I’m always taking suggestions!
